Employment contract provisions or compensation plans that provide significant retention incentives for key employees. Typically covers key employees whose departure would disrupt or disadvantage company performance. CEOs and major executive are typical examples, however, "critical skills" employees like special engineers, information-technology and top-producing sales employees are increasingly provided retention incentives.
