EAP's (Employee Assistance Programs)

Responding to employee health and personal problems that have an adverse effect on job performance and productivity, employers are establishing employee assistance programs (EAP's) to help employees cope with a wider range of problems than traditional health and welfare benefit plans cover. EAP's report that plan success needs: employee acceptance, management support, services information, a professional staff, confidential record keeping and sensitivity to gender and diversity issues.
