Defined Contribution Plan

A defined contribution retirement plan establishes the amount that may be contributed to the plan each year on behalf of participating employees. A defined contribution plan provides an individual account for each participating employee and for retirement benefits based on:

the amount contributed to the participant's account, and

any income, expenses, gains and losses, and forfeitures of accounts of other participants, which may be allocated to the participant's account.
